Let Volo Antique & Mercantile Malls Entertain You

Many of these structures are still standing today, including the huge, L-shaped barn, which now houses one of four connected malls that make up Volo Antique and Mercantile Malls with over 400 dealers shops. Three of the malls specialize in antiques (Antique Malls 1 2 3) and one specializes in gifts, antiques, collectibles, home furnishings, and more (the Mercantile Mall).

Antique Mall 1, called "The Barn," is a converted 1880s dairy barn and one of the oldest wooden structures in Lake County near Chicago. It is known to be haunted, and was featured in 2009 on Discovery Channel’s Ghost Lab.

The world famous Volo Auto Museum was established in the early 1970s and now has over 300 cars in seven showrooms. Featured vehicles include antique, muscle, and classic cars including TV and movie cars. In addition there is a military museum with life-sized dioramas and military vehicles and a Disney showroom with displays, coin-operated rides and a mini movie theater. Annual events include a Mothers’ Day Special Saturday and Sunday of Mothers’ Day weekend, and a Holiday Open House the weekend after Thanksgiving.
